Field Trip from Hell
It's always fun to go on a field trip. Halloween is closing in so maybe we should go someplace scary. Why not go to the site where horrible atrocities once took place? Yes, that will be fun. We set out to visit an office building where a cult took over and tortured and killed multiple people. The building is a tall, glass, cylindrical one. It looks very futuristic in the city skyline.
We park at the top of the building. I'm not clear why or how we park there. There are many people in the parking garage. Lots of them seem very upset. We get into an elevator which will take us to the start of the tour. The elevator begins to move and I start to feel dizzy. The elevator is not going straight down as a usual elevator would, it is curving around the building like a spiral staircase. It's a very cool design for an elevator. We arrive at the bottom floor and the tour begins. For some reason they pass out little Sega Genesis game consoles. Apparently the rooms are set up to use the games. Gordon is along and he tells me that he has a wireless adapter for the Genesis which would be nice here.
In the first room we visit the group plugs up their Genesis consoles and starts playing some arcade games. I look around and notice that there are some bullet holes in the wall. I wonder what horrible events took place here. After almost everyone has had their fill of playing arcade games, we move on. We walk up some stairs and enter into an open area which allows us to see multiple floors of the building. The height and openness compounded with the general eerie feeling of the buliding makes me nervous and I rush ahead of the group. I find myself in a cafeteria and decide to get some food. I order myself a hamburger and fries. I take a seat at a long table which is filled with elementary school kids. They must have taken a field trip here, too. I sit across from this black kid who starts putting fries on my plate and telling me to get rid of them for him. I don't really care about it, but he starts messing with my hamburger and I've had enough. I grab the kid by the collar and threaten him. He doesn't seem to get the point and he starts shoving his glass of chocolate milk at me. I'm getting pretty annoyed about the whole thing and I splash the cup of chocolate milk in his face. Now the fight is on. People start rushing over to break up the fight. The administrators of the place ask who started the fight and I point to the kid. They take the kid and kick him out of the place. There's a little girl who follows them and tries to tell them that I started the fight, not him. I follow her and tell the administrators they should at least listen to her, even though she's wrong. So, that ended that kid's field trip experience.
Now it's dark, I'm asleep. Apparently this is a sleep over field trip? I open my eyes. There's three black people hovering over me. They all have metal sticks in their hands. My eyes open just in time to see one of the metal sticks coming at me. The three guys are friends of the kid who got kicked out, or so I assume. I block the first hit, but I can't block all of them. The three guys are all over me, hitting me with the sticks. Just think of Joe Pesci at the end of Casino, and you'll have a pretty good idea of what was happening to me. Death would be a welcome vacation from this beating. I cry out for help, but there's no one to hear me. They keep at it until some people finally enter the room. Custodians perhaps? I can't be sure, but that's not really a surprise in my state. They tell me to call 911. There I am, a bloody mess on the floor and they want me to dial 911. I tell them they need to make the call. They all run off except for one guy. He comes over to me.
The man looks pretty scary. His face is deformed and he has a psychotic smile on his face. I get the feeling this guy isn't going to help. He puts a clear plastic bag around me and tilts me up by the legs. The blood is all pouring down to the bottom of the bag where my head is. He orders me to confess all my sins or he'll kill me. I'm choking on my own blood and feeling pretty bad. My mind races with sins I might confess to appease this man. I don't recall exactly what I said, but I mumble out some sins to keep this guy from killing me. An eternity seems to pass before the police finally arrive to rescue me. The field trip has turned into a nightmare. I have a pretty good idea what atrocities took place in the building, though.
