Trials
There are three lines. I'm in one of them, the far right one. We're on a city street between some 4 or 5 story brick buildings. It's apparent that this is some sort of singles club and we're in line for some event. I notice Gordon ahead of me in line and there is some indian guy making fun of him. Gordon is doing his best to laugh off the guy, but the whole scene annoys me. I walk up to the indian guy and tell him to stop. I say something to the effect of "You mess with Gordon and you mess with me". I believe the guy backs down. Finally we're able to go and we pass buy this German fellow who keeps counting "1, 2" as we pass. This is somewhat worrysome to me. As we enter a tunnel, it occurs to me that that German guy is planning some sort of bomb attack on us in the tunnel and that's why he was counting. At that moment there's an explosion in front of us and the tunnel in that direction collapses. We turn around in time to see another explosion seal off the entrance to the tunnel. We're trapped. People manage to clear the rubble in front of us and start going through. We hear the sound of machine guns. I start to clear the entrance, but someone warns me that the Germans are waiting outside to shoot us all. I'm not very happy about this. At length someone tells us that there really aren't any Germans waiting to kill us if we continue down the tunnel. So, we head down the tunnel. It's dark and there are white strobe lights going off occasionally. I'm pretty much running through this thing. There are weird zombie like guys trying to grab me, but I push them away and keep moving. It's basically a series of trials I'm going through which I can't remember all the details of, but it's pretty scary. I manage to make it through all of them okay.
Now I'm in a room. Apparently there's an IQ test that is being distributed...well it will be distributed. I'm not in the first group, though. So I'm sitting in class trying to ignore the teacher while I wait for this test. After awhile there's an announcement that school is canceled for the day, but the people who are taking the IQ test should stay. I talk with some people who have taken the test in an attempt to get information about it. I ask if it is all math related and that seems to be the case. I ask how obscure the problems are, whether they go into probability or anything like that. I don't get a clear answer on that, but someone mentions a regular hexagon and how to determine area and whatnot. I am not concerned about this. I have high confidence that I can solve that problem, though the amount of time it will take me is of some concern. Finally we are told to go into a room for the test. I look around for a good seat. I see Barbara and Marissa in the room from middle school as well as some other faces which look familiar, but perhaps not as obvious. Maybe Alyssa is there? Anyway, I end up sitting behind Gordon. The teacher is passing out a review test. Gordon turns to me and asks why I'm here. He tells me that this is the room for the review test. Only people who have taken the test already do the review test and I haven't taken it yet. I tell him this is where I was told to go. A lot of other people hear our conversation and raise their hands to ask that very question. It turns out that both tests are going to be administered in the same room. So the problem is solved. That's where the dream ends.
